FERRARI CONCEPT CAR IS A FRAUD.

The motoring press today was sent into an embarrassed state of shock by the announcement that the latest "spy" photographs of the new Ferrari 600 Imola are nothing other than a Datsun 240Z in drag.
An in depth investigation by Ferrari which began on Wednesday found that the car in question (pictured), widely assumed to be a heavily disguised prototype of the latest new addition from the Maranello plant in Italy, was in fact a 1974 Datsun that has been personally modified by a virtually unknown internet car website.
Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo today said in a statement "the phones have been ringing off the hook all day. This is not the new Ferrari 600 and all reports saying it is are just wrong OK".
Concept Design chief Donato Coco was later quoted as stating that the Ferrari "carrozzeria" design department had actually wished they had thought of this design, but in no way could their existing computer technology have produced something to this level.

He said: "If the corral within which I can move is not defined, they will grab, squeeze and make corned beef with my balls".
Later reports confirmed that the car belonged to the online motorcar website Autoshite, who had taken a 1974 Datsun 240Z and covered it in flattened out cardboard boxes used to transport washing machines in, and then wrapped it all in rolls of black duct tape as a project, just for fun.
"Well they certainly has the world's press fooled for a few days I'd say, phwoar, what?" said Ferrari board member Jean Todt, before resigning his position as General Manager of the company.

All staff at Autoshite were, as usual, unavailable for comment.
